Broadway Tuesday

This weekend on youtube I watched the musical, not the movie, of The Little Mermaid. Let me just say, that I LOVED it!!!! The actors were amazing! The set and costumes were ingenious! The voices were perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, Sierra Boggess's voice is beautiful no matter what she is singing, but she was perfect for the role of Ariel and acted it beautifully.
Norm Lewis was a very cool Triton.
Sherie Renee Scott is another woman with a very pretty voice and perfected the role of the evil seawitch, Ursula.

The plot was good, so good, that I thought it was better than the movie. I recommend this show to everyone, keeping in mind that although this is a children's show it is great for teens and adults, as well.

I Have Found My New Favorite Meal, I Think

Warning: Noodles and Company did NOT pay me for saying this.

I went to Noodles and Company the other day, ready to order the usual: Wisconsin Mac and Cheese. (Yum!)
Well, when I went in to order, I saw a sign for something new: Barbecue pork mac and cheese. Huh?????
Traditional Wisconsin mac n cheese, slow-braised tender pork, barbecue sauce, and crunchy fried onion strings. Oh yeah.

I ordered it instead, and it may be my favorite meal EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to go there every day now.

Right now I am in the middle of the book The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan. I'm not sure what to think of this book yet... it is interesting and unlike anything I have really read before. It opens you up to a different culture and is filled with many short stories that are all connected by the four people in the mahjong-playing Joy Luck Club.
