Here is a book description: "Baltimore lady Cassandra Channing is determined to support her family by hiring a privateer. Luke Heaton is a handsome rake who is being blackmailed by the British into selling supplies to their ships. Both are caught up in romance amid the intrigues and dangers of the War of 1812."
Here's what I thought:
I loved this book so much! It was a great ending to the Surrender to Destiny series. I was very excited throughout the whole story to see if Cassandra and Luke would surrender to their own destinies. I loved Cassandra; she was a brave and fiery heroine, and Luke was an awesome character. When I read it, I noticed I was feeling the similar emotions to the characters, so I know it was beautifully written. I liked Luke's younger brother a lot. I definitely couldn't wait to finish this book to see what happened to all of these exquisite characters. I would certainly recommend this awesome read to all of my friends and family!!!
This book comes after Surrender the Night, which I reviewed earlier this week.
Does this book look interesting to you? What are you currently reading?
Sounds like an interesting book!
ReplyDeleteRight now I'm reading a book called The Right Hand of Amon, which is pretty much a detective story set in Egypt during the time of the Pharaohs (Queen Hatshepsut's rule). It's pretty good so far.
That sounds like a cool book, Nathan! Who is it by?
DeleteWow that's interesting! I've never heard of anything like that, Nathan!
DeleteIt's by Lauren Haney. It's the first of a series of several she's written with the main character Lieutenant Bak (I think there's 8 or 9 total in the series).
DeleteUnfortunately, I'm not reading any books right now ):
ReplyDeleteI have read this book, though, and I enjoyed it.
Oh too bad. Good! Thanks, Cortney!
