Hello, all!
I had a bit of a change of plans on how I was going to do this post...
I was going to give you a detailed explanation of my visit to a historic town and museum, complete with pictures and everything, but I think I will just give you a brief summary and save that for next week.
Anyway, when visiting museums, as a historical author, I am very pleased when I am allowed to take photos inside a museum.
I love to be able to take photos of all of the artifacts, and the informational signs that are hanging around. I can look back on these later, if I am in need of research for a novel or a scene. This is extremely helpful.
When I am not allowed to take photos, I tend to carry around a little notebook where I can jot down notes I want to remember later.
Well, lucky me, an awesome museum I went to allowed me to take photos!
So, next week I will share some of those with you.
Do you ever go any place to research?
Interesting post! It's always handy when you can find some museum that is set in the time period you're writing in so you can get a better idea of what life is at that time. And ones that let you take pictures are even better! :)
ReplyDeleteYes, that is always awesome, Nathan. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by!
