Hello!

Hey guys, I have really been neglecting this blog. I know these are simply excuses, but I have been extremely busy. Between my writing, my editing, preparing for an author event, and being interviewed for television, I have hardly had time for this blog.

I will start back on my schedule on Wednesday, and give you a nice post on Friday explaining what  I have been up to.

I would also like to explain that for the time being, I will be skipping my Music Thursday posts. I love them, but during the times I am busy, they won't be around much. I will post some when I can, though.

Thank you so much for sticking with me! I hope to hear from you all. Thanks so much.

So Much News!

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry that I have left you all without a post for a few days. How thoughtful of me!

Truth be told, though, I have honestly been extremely busy lately. Just this weekend, I was volunteering at a Renaissance Festival. That was pretty fun, but it took up most of my day!

But other than the little things that I have been up to, I have some big news to share with you!

First of all, I am going to be taking part in a BOOK FEST! How exciting is that? I will be signing books and may even be reading a selection from Swept to Sea. That should be super fun! Other authors will be there, so make certain you attend! This is specifically for Christian readers and writers, so please attend and find some new books!

Second. I found out that I am going to be on my local news station, Fox Four News! I will be interviewed later this month and it should air in early October. I am thrilled about this, because I was so excited for my last TV appearance.

How are you doing? What is one good thing that happened to you last week?

Book Monday: Am Reading

Hey everyone! I haven't had a lot of time for reading since school started, but I thought I'd let you know what I am reading.

Abandoned Memories by MaryLu Tyndall! You all know MaryLu is one of my favorite authors, so I am really enjoying this one.
What are you reading? Have you read any of MaryLu's books?

Catch Up Friday: This Week

Hey everyone!
This week was pretty busy for me. I mostly did school and not that much else! I'm sorry my posts have not been as regular as they should be. School has just kept me pretty busy!
What have you done this week?

Bible Verse Wednesday: the Favor of the Lord

May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us;
establish the work of our hands for us—
yes, establish the work of our hands.

Book Monday: The Wrangler's Inconvenient Wife

Hey everyone! How are you doing today? What is one thing you did this weekend?

I have a review of The Wrangler's Inconvenient Wife by Lacy Williams for you today.

"With no family to watch over them, it's up to Fran Morris to take care of her younger sister, even if it means marrying a total stranger. Gruff, strong and silent, her new husband is a cowboy down to the bone. He wed Fran to protect her, not to love her, but her heart has never felt so vulnerable.

Trail boss Edgar White already has all the responsibility he needs at his family's ranch in Bear Creek, Wyoming. He had intended to remain a bachelor forever, but he can't leave Fran and her sister in danger. And as they work on the trail together, Edgar starts to soften toward his unwanted wife. He already gave Fran his name…can he trust her with his heart?"

My Thoughts:
The Idea:
I really liked this book. It's about Edgar and Fran, who fall into a "marriage of inconvenience." Edgar marries her to ensure that she and her younger sister are safe. However, he never intended to get married. He and Fran work on the trail together, and start to grow close.
The Characters:
Fran is a young woman who will do anything and everything to get her little sister, Emma, to safety. She was admirable in her selflessness to protect her sister.
Edgar has not trusted women after he was abandoned by his mother at a young age. He planned to never marry, but he finds himself with a wife in this book.
I liked the characters.
The Plot:
This was a short and sweet book; perfect for the summer! I really enjoyed it. The plot was somewhat predictable, but I certainly enjoyed it nonetheless.
The Setting:
I really liked the setting of rural Wyoming! It was perfect for the story and I tend to like western stories.
Overall:
A lovely book!
