Book Review Monday

The past few weeks I have been reviewing MaryLu Tyndall's Legacy of the King's Pirates series, and I will finish the series by reviewing the last book in the series, The Restitution.
See my review of The Redemption here.
and my review of The Reliance here.

Here is a description of it that I found on Goodreads: "Lady Isabel Ashton, scorned by society after the birth of her illegitimate child, longs to regain wealth and position-despite Christ's call on her heart. But when her son is kidnapped, she's forced to seek the aid of the man who pirated her purity. How far will Isabel go to save her child and redeem her honor? Captain Kent Carlton, desperate to win the heart of the woman he once ravished, finds himself battling jealousy as well as the sea. Can a penniless pirate capture the love he so urgently desires, or will the lady seek her safe harbor in another man's arms? The Restitution is book 3 in the Legacy of the King's Pirates series. Other books in the series include The Redemption: Book 1 and The Reliance: Book 2."

Finally, here is what I thought:  This book probably was my favorite of the Legacy of the King's Pirates series. MaryLu definitely saved her best for last in the trilogy! Everything was perfectly written. Kent has changed a lot since the first book, and for the better. I loved the way his emotions were portrayed. Isabel was also a great character. I loved watching the story of how Isabel learned to forgive Kent for what he did to her and I was just as anxious as Kent and Isabel were for them to find their son, Frederick! The only things I didn't like were a) I was sad it was the end of the series, and b) I wished there were another story about Cutter and Hann, two of my favorite characters! Cutter was the ship's surgeon whose face was deformed from an accident, and Hann was a young woman dressed as a man who worked on Kent's ship. All together, this was a great book and I would enthusiastically recommend it to all of my friends.

What are you reading now? Have you read any of MaryLu Tyndall's books?
