Book Review Monday

Hello everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend!

Today I am a little behind schedule on my reading, so I do not have a book review prepared for this post. However, I will share with you the book that I have just begun-- The Tutor's Daughter by Julie Klassen.
I literally have just started reading this, so I will give you my initial opinion and a full review later on. The cover, first of all, is very pretty. What a stunning backdrop! I have read other books by Julie Klassen, and I enjoyed them, so I am sure this will be a nice read as well.
Here is the first sentence: "Something is amiss, Emma thought, immediately upon entering her tidy bedchamber. What is it...?"

My attention has been grabbed! I haven't gotten a chance to read further, but I will let you know when I do.

Here a description taken from amazon.com: "Award-Winning Regency Romance from Bestselling Author Julie Klassen
Emma Smallwood, determined to help her widowed father regain his spirits when his academy fails, agrees to travel with him to the distant Cornwall coast, to the cliff-top manor of a baronet and his four sons. But after they arrive and begin teaching the younger boys, mysterious things begin to happen and danger mounts. Who does Emma hear playing the pianoforte, only to find the music room empty? Who sneaks into her room at night? Who rips a page from her journal, only to return it with a chilling illustration?

The baronet's older sons, Phillip and Henry, wrestle with problems--and secrets--of their own. They both remember Emma Smallwood from their days at her father's academy. She had been an awkward, studious girl. But now one of them finds himself unexpectedly drawn to her.

When the suspicious acts escalate, can the clever tutor's daughter figure out which brother to blame...and which brother to trust with her heart?"

This looks like an interesting read!

What are you reading currently? Have you read any of Julie Klassen's books?

    1. Thanks, Cortney! I'm excited to read it. HOWEVER, I did just receive Forsaken Dreams by MaryLu Tyndall in the mail today so I will begin reading that instead. :)

  2. Did you really only read just the first sentence? Wow, you must be one of those people who can eat only one potato chip. LOL
I, too, want to read this book, but like you, I have Forsaken Dreams to read before any other reading.
    Great post! Sharing!
